We are humbled and honoured to have the opportunity to present the inaugural Hong Kong-ASEAN Summit 2022 held on 3 November 2022.  The flagship event was graced by The Hon. John K C Lee, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; The Hon. Bernard Charnwut Chan, GBM, GBS, JP, Hong Kong Deputy, National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China; The Hon. Christopher Hui, GBS, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; The Hon. Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health, Singapore; The Hon. Alfredo Pascual, Secretary of Trade, The Philippines; Dr Pichet Durongkaveroj, former Minister of Digital for Economy and Society in Thailand and The Hon ambassador Yu Hongjun, former Vice Minister of International Department of the CPC Central Committee and many other captains of the industry.

Well attended by more than 250 executives in person and about 1,000 online, the summit brought policymakers, business leaders and entrepreneurs together to discuss opportunities in the ASEAN and map the way forward as Hong Kong acts as a super connector to facilitate exchanges between the ASEAN and China.

The summit is particularly important as Hong Kong builds on its traditional strengths and identifies new opportunities.  The Foundation will roll out programmes to help students from Hong Kong and the ASEAN to widen their horizons and facilitate exchanges for businesses and communities.
