We are honoured to present the A New Look into ASEAN Series in partnership with RTHK, which underscores the growing importance of forging partnership with the ASEAN.  The series debuted with the panel entitled ‘Understanding the Future of Hong Kong-ASEAN Relations through Youth and Educational Exchanges’ held on 10 October 2024.

Hosted by our Advisory Council Convenor Mr Thomas Wu, the panel featured distinguished speakers, including Advisory Council members Ms Judy Chen, Mr Daniel Fung, and Miss Dee Poon, as well as Mr Eric Chan, Commissioner for Youth, Home and Youth Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR, and Mr Eddie Cheung, Director of Broadcasting of RTHK. We were honoured to welcome ASEAN Consuls-General, including The Hon Mr Ammala Saenchonghack (Laos), The Hon Mr Muzambli Markam (Malaysia), The Hon Ms Germinia V Aguilar-Usudan (the Philippines) and The Hon Mr Ong Siew Gay (Singapore), as well as friends from ASEAN chambers of commerce, the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation and the HKU Asia Global Institute.

The panel discussion highlights the importance of fostering connections between Hong Kong and ASEAN countries through youth engagement and educational initiatives. We look forward to further collaborations to help to promote and facilitate mutual understanding across the region.
