The Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation is honoured to present the inaugural Hong Kong-ASEAN Youth Forum in collaboration with partners and supporting organisations. We are particularly grateful for the support from Mr Nicholas Ho, Commissioner for Belt and Road; Mr Felix Chan, Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage; the Hon Vivian Kong, SBS, MH, Member of the Legislative Council, who have graced the forum as our guests of honour.  They were warmly welcomed by Mr Thomas Jefferson Wu, JP, Convenor of the Foundation’s Advisory Council.

More than 100 young people from Hong Kong and the ASEAN joined the forum, which was opened with a keynote address by Commissioner Nicholas Ho, followed by a fireside chat featuring the Hon Vivian Kong, who inspired participants with lively exchanges and sharp insights.  Meanwhile, Hong Kong Talent Engage highlighted the HKSAR Government’s initiatives to support young ASEAN talents interested in working in Hong Kong. Three young participants from the ASEAN joined the panel and shared their experiences working and living in Hong Kong.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Belt and Road Office and Hong Kong Talent Engage for their strong support, and ASEAN student associations in Hong Kong, including Filipino Student Association, Indonesian Student Association, Malaysian Student Association, Association of Thai Students, Southeast Asian Students’ Association at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Indonesian Students Association at the HKUST for their participation.

We look forward to strengthening collaborations with partners and communities to deepen and broaden Hong Kong-ASEAN ties.
