Vietnam, 1960s. In the picturesque village of Do Do, country lad Ngan falls deeply for Ha Lan, a girl with mesmerising blue eyes. Life takes a turn when Ha Lan moves to the bustling city of Hue, where she is enchanted by a wealthy city boy and becomes pregnant. Yet despite of this, Ngan’s love for her never wavers, and he even takes care of her daughter in their home village in subsequent years. Dreamy Eyes is a tale of unrequited love, enduring hope, as well as an ode to the beautiful countryside of Vietnam.
