Tai Ping, known as Rain Town for being one of the dampest cities in Malaysia, is home to the Choo family. The patriarch, Mr. Choo, micromanages the lives of his three grown children—Isaac, Alex, and Ruby—hindering their ambitions and happiness. Aileen, his wife, has been holding the family together, but when she faces her own misfortune, the family relationship becomes strained. They are forced to re-evaluate the true meaning of family. Directed by Tunku Mona Riza in her first Cantonese film, this story is enriched with a uniquely Malaysian sense of multiculturalism and tolerance, offering a heartwarming glimpse into the dynamics of a Chinese-Malaysian family.
